LegalWorks continues its journey as Sweden’s leading player within New Law with the goal of delivering innovative business law solutions in a modern organization. As part of this, Caroline Snellman has been recruited in a new drive to expand its advisory business.
“We are very excited to see such a strong force as Caroline joining us. She will be an excellent leader in our advisory business”, said Anna Lensmar-Friedman, CEO of LegalWorks.
Caroline has previously worked as a lawyer at firms such as Hannes Snellman and White & Case, and she has also worked in the US. She has profound experience of strategic consulting, and is strongly dedicated to developing both businesses as well as individuals.
Caroline has for many years been engaged in various change processes within and beyond the legal sector. She holds several trust positions in, amongst others, with ICC and the Swedish Bar Association, as well as being vice chairman of Sweden’s largest support organization for girls, Tjejzonen. Caroline was also one of the initiators of the hashtag #medvilkenrätt, #metoo for lawyers, which last year brought thousands of women together, demanding change.
“I have for a long time noticed the need for new solutions in the business law area, and I have strongly questioned traditional approaches, due to its lack of customer focus and inability of change. If we were to use a speed camera focusing on the traditional legal sector we would hardly be able to detect any traction at all, if not complete idleness. I see LegalWorks as a great platform to realize many of my ideas – not least in terms of userfriendly and more effective legal solutions, but also in terms of the development of teams and individuals, aligned with a modern work life”, said Caroline Snellman.
Initially, Caroline will be responsible for business development, and will be part of LegalWorks’ management team. This role also includes the development of the offering to clients in the Energy/Greentech and Infrastructure/Transportation.
“Despite our focus on interim and outsourcing solutions for larger companies, we have had a strong growth in advising start-ups and medium sized companies, especially within IT and Life Science. We now want to take that business to the next level. In order to do so, driven and innovative leaders and lawyers such as Caroline are needed. This new venture is communicated in its wider context during the fall, and we want to present this leadership recruitment as a preview of things to come”, Ulf Lindéen, said COO of LegalWorks.
