This year’s Legal Innovation Award goes to Avtal24 and Christina Blomkvist

The Swedish Legal Innovation Award is awarded by a collaboration of legaltech.se and LegalWorks. The purpose is to acknowledge organizations, agencies and individual lawyers who help modernize the law industry.

This year the prize was awarded to company Avtal24, and lawyer Christina Blomkvist, and the winners were announced on Nordic Legal Tech Day on Wednesday.

The jury’s motivation for their decision:

Avtal24 has shown that it is possible to conduct online advisory activities online in Sweden and to profit in line with traditional actors. They have made legal services available to more people, through easy-to-use services at predictable and reasonable costs. We have previously noted the company’s cooperation with banks. Avtal24 continues to develop new tools, the latest being a cloud service for contract storage.

Christina Blomkvist has used her unique mix of skills to develop tools that help change how lawyers work, both in the chamber as well as in negotiations. In the past year she has been behind several startups and initiatives such as GreenCounsel, INIRES, Happy Resolution, OptionsAutomaten, David, etc. In addition, she has represented the legal tech industry in startup competitions, and through the Legaltek.nu initiative helped to strengthen and develop the community.

The Legal Innovation Award was founded by Fredrik Svärd and legaltech.se.
