Last Wednesday LegalWorks participated and partnered in Nordic Allocation, the first edition of a yearly summit where potential investors in emerging Venture Capital funds meet up to network and share their knowledge.
The event included, among other things, pitching sessions and whereas Venture Capital teams are often more used to be the ones “judging”on these types of sessions, this day they were on the pitching side. 10 promising emerging Venture Capital teams went up on stage to tell us about their edge and winning concepts for a prominent jury of Venture Capital fund investors.
LegalWorks’ own Leif Frykman, co-founder and chairman, held a presentation Super Bowl halftime show style, where he talked about the concept of Legal Tech as an up and coming area of investment opportunities. The discussion surrounded the evolution around the legal tech industry; with one example of this being some exciting acquisitions of Swedish legal tech businesses from last year, by bigger and international players on the market. Another aspect that was brought up for analysis was the merging of legal services together with other experts within different tech areas, for example LegalWorks’ own collaboration with Chromaway – blockchain pioneers. The joint project is called CapChap and was launched in December. The mission of the tool is to help startups and entrepreneurs managing corporate formalities and handling share transactions while being a collaboration platform for different stakeholders.
